“The property is beautiful, and filled with great artworks from a local artist, which added to the cozy luxury of all the public rooms. We had two rooms for four of us, one with a valley view and one with a garden view. Both rooms were comfortable and spacious, but the valley view room had a far superior view compared to the view from our garden view one, as that one was half obstructed by a wall, which was mildly disappointing. “I recently booked 2 rooms for a quick trip based on the marketing stating it offered airport shuttle service. I called the concierge prior to our arrival and after I had the rooms booked for over a month and was then told they offered no such service. Let's just say my discussion with the floor/assistant manager was a waste of time! Meanwhile it cost my group over $200 in UBER fees in addition to the $$$/room rate. “I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by the abysmal check-in experience my partner and I encountered last night (May 22nd) at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. Despite its prime location, the front office staff's dismissive and outright rude demeanor ruined our entire stay from the very first minute. “Stayed only for one night to celebrate my partner's birthday, but the JW Marriott did not disappoint! “This hotel has a rather unusual room layout that may not suit everyone. The bathroom and shower doors have noticeable gaps at the top and bottom, which means there is very little privacy. “For an expensive hotel I expected a bit more. The views were beautiful, the beds were comfy, I did think the decor was very out dated, I didn't find it as clean as what I thought it would be.
