“We arrived to Schloss Elmau, a magical hotel in the heart of Bavaria, Germany. Magical is not enough to describe this place. “It was excellent decision for our meeting and lunch (about month ago). As we're vegan, Chef cooked asparagus with vegetables for us. Oh my goodness, I never ate so delicious food for the last years! 😍 Vegetables were steamed (?), I suppose. “This is a very classic, old-style hotel with a strong sense of history and character. The rooms feel traditional, but that’s part of the charm. “Room 201 – Guest Feedback We chose this hotel for our honeymoon, and I have to say the experience has been deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, the room presented several issues that are frankly unacceptable for a property of this caliber: 1. The air conditioning was completely non-functional. 2. “This is a really good hotel with one notable exception (more below). We chose it for the location in Munich’s old town and the hardwood floors. The decor of the room was fun. The layout, on the other hand, was very strange. “I stayed here during a heatwave and overall had a really nice time. Since it’s a Waldorf Astoria, I expected it to feel a bit fancier so I wasn't totally blown away, but it was still a great hotel.
